📋 Description

• Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements • Assist in the preparation/review of financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP • Directly oversee and support the General Accounting and Treasury team functions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance • Oversee and manage the monthly close process • Review reconciliations and other financial activities’ accuracy • Identify and implement process improvements within the finance department • Respond to inquiries from various financial managers • Support of corporate taxation initiatives • Lead internal and external audits • Actively participate in automation and process improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA certification is required • Minimum of twelve (12) years directly related experience • Five (5) years in leadership roles • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry is an asset • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Working knowledge of ERP software packages, SAGE system is preferred
