📋 Description

• Partner with the HK HR Director to develop, implement, and localize HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks that are compliant with the Malaysian Employment Act and other relevant regulations. • Establish the end-to-end recruitment process: from job posting and sourcing to interviewing, selection, and onboarding of the pioneer team and subsequent hires. • Design and implement a competitive compensation and benefits structure (including statutory EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and medical/insurance plans) tailored to the local market to attract and retain top talent. • Be the primary point of contact for all employee relations, providing guidance and support to managers and employees. • Lead the office renovation project from inception to completion, including sourcing and managing vendors, space planning, and ensuring project is delivered on time and within budget. • Procure all necessary office furniture, equipment, and supplies to create a functional and productive work environment. • Establish and manage all administrative systems, including vendor management, travel arrangements, courier services, and general office operations. • Ensure 100% compliance with all local statutory requirements, including company registration with SSM, immigration passes for expatriates (if any), and tax-related matters. • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR filings are submitted to relevant government bodies (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, LHDN). • Prepare regular HR and administrative reports for the HK HR Director and regional management.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR and Administration, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role. • Proven experience in setting up a new office or leading HR for a start-up/greenfield project in Malaysia is a significant advantage. • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian employment law, statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDC), and best practices. • Hands-on experience with office management, vendor negotiation, and project management (especially office renovation).
