📋 Description

• Build and improve the platform that powers Resend, providing reliable infrastructure and tooling for engineers • Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance, and security • Automate operational work and build self-service workflows • Establish platform standards and patterns for consistent service development, deployment, and operation • Improve reliability and observability across Resend • Participate in incident response and turn operational issues into lasting improvements • Partner with engineers across Resend to solve infrastructure and platform problems and build reusable solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across infrastructure engineering, platform, or SRE • Strong experience managing production infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi • Understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including queues, workers, databases, caching, networking, and load balancing • Solid working knowledge of AWS • Strong experience with observability and monitoring using Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry • Comfortable working across the stack, from load balancers and networking to delivery pipelines • Ability to work independently, take ownership, communicate trade-offs clearly, and know when to ask for help • Clear written and spoken English • Ability to consistently overlap with Americas working hours • Experience operating high-throughput systems at scale • Experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure • Experience with developer tools, public APIs, or email infrastructure • Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, and Postgres
