📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical resource for customer equipment and operational issues • Troubleshoot flow control equipment and identify root causes of performance challenges • Conduct on-site assessments and periodic customer visits to evaluate equipment condition and operating practices • Develop recommendations to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety • Review customer storage practices for refractory materials and spare parts • Support installation, startup, and commissioning of flow control systems and related equipment • Partner with Sales and Engineering teams to plan and execute customer trials and project implementations • Monitor new equipment installations to ensure successful startup and operational readiness • Coordinate technical support activities and provide guidance during key project milestones • Deliver technical training on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures • Build customer relationships through proactive communication and technical consultation • Help customers maximize the value, performance, and longevity of installed equipment • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Product Management teams on product improvement and new product development • Provide field feedback and customer insights for equipment innovation and performance enhancements • Mentor and support less experienced technical service personnel as needed • Travel frequently to customer sites across North America for installations, commissioning, equipment evaluations, training, and ongoing technical service

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in mechanical maintenance or a related field • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Ability to travel extensively to customer locations throughout North America • Ability to work safely in industrial manufacturing environments • Preferred: Experience supporting industrial equipment within steel manufacturing, metals, refractory, or other heavy industrial environments • Preferred: Experience with commissioning, field service, maintenance, or technical support activities • Preferred: Knowledge of steel mill operations and production processes • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline • Preferred: Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, and commercial teams
