📋 Description

• Manage procurement activities for assigned suppliers, including part setup, purchase order placement, expediting, and delivery execution • Monitor and maintain accurate ERP/MRP system data, including lead times, periods of supply, safety stock, and other procurement parameters • Establish and maintain supplier relationships while driving improvements in quality, cost, and delivery • Conduct supplier negotiations, competitive bids, and sourcing activities • Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and trends, and address shortages, delays, and supply disruptions • Partner with Planners and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve shortages and improve supplier deliveries • Resolve receiving, invoice, purchase order, and supplier discrepancies • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers • Support production readiness reviews, DMP management, and purchasing activities required for production continuity • Prepare procurement metrics, supplier performance reports, risk assessments, and presentations • Support audits, leadership reviews, and special projects

🎯 Requirements

• A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written) • U.S. citizenship is required • Prior purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment • Experience with SAP, Agile, or other ERP/MRP systems • Experience with competitive bidding, supplier development, negotiations, and supplier performance management • Knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, FAR/DFAR regulations, and supplier compliance requirements • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment • Relocation is not offered
