📋 Description

• Own the commercial contracting engine for client insertion orders, NDAs, DPAs, and partner and vendor agreements, almost entirely under US law • Report directly to CEO Aman Sareen • Triage employment and general legal matters, resolving straightforward issues and routing others to outside counsel • Manage outside law firms, including matter scoping, spend control, timelines, and cost accountability • Serve as the first point of contact for company-wide legal questions and advise leadership on risk • Define templates, negotiation posture, triage processes, and outside counsel management from scratch • Draft, negotiate, and close client insertion orders, NDAs, and partner and vendor agreements • Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and fallback positions • Build and run AI tools and workflows for template-driven documents such as NDAs • Partner with sales, partnerships, and finance on deal structures and vendor relationships • Coordinate with FIRY's legal team on cross-entity and higher-complexity matters • Grow into a broader legal remit as RZR's needs scale

🎯 Requirements

• JD and active bar admission in at least one US state • At least 3 years of post-JD experience in commercial or transactional practice, in-house or law firm • Hands-on drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including IOs, NDAs, MSAs, or equivalent • Direct experience negotiating DPAs • Working knowledge of US state data privacy frameworks, including CCPA, and GDPR as applied to vendor and partner data flows • Ability to operate independently under US law • Experience managing or coordinating with outside counsel, including scoping matters and controlling spend • Ability to manage commercial disputes and aspects of negotiations with minimal supervision • Familiarity with employment law fundamentals in California, New York, and other relevant states is nice to have • Experience at a media, adtech, SaaS, or programmatic advertising company is nice to have • Prior in-house experience is a plus, not a requirement
