📋 Description

• Act as the primary internal technical lead for third-party security assessments and external vulnerability testing • Coordinate vendors, manage timelines, and track remediation • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the SIEM capability • Establish log analysis pipelines for environment logs and system telemetry • Use AI tools and automation frameworks to streamline incident detection, reduce false positives, and automate routine tasks • Develop a proactive threat intelligence review process and disseminate actionable guidance • Own secure setup, configuration, and baseline hardening of infrastructure, applications, and corporate systems • Develop documentation and runbooks for handover of hardened systems to Support • Manage systems work, application onboarding, and lifecycle ownership within EIT • Collaborate with IT Support on handover workflows, threat intelligence, and incident response • Triage security-related findings and requests escalated to DevOps, resolving SecOps issues and forwarding only matters requiring DevOps ownership

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be located in the United States or Canada • 6–8 years of experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, or IT Operations • Proven track record of shifting career focus into security operations • Proven experience configuring SIEM platforms, managing log aggregation, and building effective alerting logic • Hands-on experience using automation scripts, tools, or AI-driven capabilities to optimize security operations and workflows • Deep technical knowledge of securing cloud environments, network configurations, identity providers (IdP), and enterprise SaaS ecosystems • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical projects and interface with external third-party security vendors • Ability to translate raw vulnerability data into actionable remediation steps • Exceptional ability to create clear runbooks from complex system architectures • Communication skills to translate technical threat intelligence into digestible updates for non-technical teams • Security-focused certifications such as Security+, CEH, or GISF, or Cloud/Systems certifications such as AWS or Google, are highly valued
