📋 Description

• Build systems that power route planning, optimization, dispatch, and real-time tracking for fleets • Work across the stack to improve dispatcher tools, driver experiences, and scalable backend APIs handling geospatial and real-time data • Partner with design, product, and mobile teams to ship reliable, performant features • Build core services for route creation, optimization, live tracking, and reporting with 99.9%+ SLA • Develop web applications used by dispatchers to create, assign, and monitor routes in real time • Implement APIs and integrations with TMS/ERP systems processing millions of route events • Develop driver-facing commercial navigation features in partnership with mobile team • Build AI-assisted workflows such as smart data import, contextual rerouting, and predictive alerts using geospatial signals • Champion and embed Samsara\'s cultural principles (customer success, long-term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, teamwork)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development • Strong programming/coding fundamentals • Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills • Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones • Demonstrated experience in routing, dispatch and navigation systems (preferred) • Familiarity with Golang, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and React Native (experience not required) • Ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work in the specified work location
