📋 Description

• Own automated-testing strategy and frameworks across the UI product, beginning with Resident Onboarding and then Command Center • Drive critical-user-flow coverage into the delivery pipeline so engineering owns testing • Build and maintain a risk-weighted registry of critical flows • Report testing coverage through live dashboards, including critical flows tested, screens exercised, and real production traffic paths tested via Datadog RUM • Lead an AI-first testing approach using Claude, agent workflows, skills, and MCP-based tooling for JIRA, APIs, and direct database inspection • Modernize integration testing by moving partner verification from manual web-based checking to API-based automation • Help close environment and testability gaps • Embed quality into design and pull-request review • Coach engineers to own and improve their automated tests • Drive the Quality Enablement practice with engineering directors, platform teams, and product stakeholders • Build CI coverage ratchets, deployment-gate health monitoring, and flake reduction • Make escaped defects visible by tagging them to user flows and tracking them against change-failure rate

🎯 Requirements

• Staff-level engineer with deep experience designing, coding, and owning test automation and frameworks across unit, integration, contract, and browser/e2e layers • Quality engineering as a primary craft, with a track record of building high-quality automated testing • Experience using AI to accelerate and harden testing, including agent workflows, skills, and MCP tooling; all-in mindset toward AI in engineering • Exceptional communication and coaching abilities across engineers, PMs, leaders, and non-technical audiences • Ability to independently drive ambiguous quality problems to measurable results • Strong AWS and Node/TypeScript skills • Comfortable with distributed, service-oriented systems and testing across service boundaries • Ability to work an 8-to-5 EST schedule • Experience with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture and/or microservices, fullstack coding, and startup/fast-paced environments • Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States after hiring • Must not require Second Nature to sponsor an immigration case • Bonus: experience standing up or scaling a quality engineering practice • Bonus: performance/load testing • Bonus: data-integrity testing against relational databases (PostgreSQL) • Bonus: PropTech, real estate tech, or B2B2C SaaS experience
