📋 Description

• Examine insurance policies and records to determine coverage • Interview, telephone, and correspond with claimants and witnesses • Consult police and hospital records and inspect property damage • Determine the extent of company liability and appropriate investigation methods • Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs • Prepare findings reports and negotiate settlements with claimants • Recommend litigation to the legal department when settlements cannot be negotiated • Attend litigation hearings • Revise case reserves to cover probable claim costs • Assist with loss experience reports and calculate adequate future rates • Perform other assigned duties • Support organizational quality programs • Travel as required

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate state adjuster license is required • Obtain IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products • Commitment to timely reporting • Strong customer service skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Good time management and organizational skills • Ability to work independently or in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities • Ability to meet deadlines • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, and work overhead • Ability to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day • Continual use of manual dexterity
