📋 Description

• Support highway project field inspections and oversight alongside the Construction Services team throughout the Florida Panhandle • Inspect highway and transportation construction projects for compliance with approved plans and specifications • Document day-to-day field and inspection activities, material sampling and testing, and quantity measurements • Prepare for and assist with preconstruction, progress, and conflict resolution meetings • Negotiate and prepare construction change orders • Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and SEH personnel • Participate in office production activities using AutoCAD or MicroStation when qualified • Assist with proposal development, project budget and schedule estimates, and constructability reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, Florida, or surrounding locations • High School Diploma or GED • Strong experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role • Good communication skills and ability to work independently • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and walk and climb over rough terrain associated with construction sites • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations; occasional overnight travel may be required • Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Construction Project Representative on FDOT, County and/or Municipal construction projects involving earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction • Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation • Possession of applicable FDOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment • Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements, verified by an MVR records check • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
