📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable middleware APIs and backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Golang to power search and personalization systems • Build and optimize high-performance, scalable systems capable of handling thousands of requests per second (RPS) • Manage and maintain existing infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and GCP), including PubSub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, EKS, ECS, Lambda, and Aurora/RDS • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams of software engineers, data engineers, and ML experts to deliver new product features • Promote coding excellence and enforce best practices for building scalable, high-throughput systems • Participate in the design and architecture phases of new features and services, ensuring scalability and performance • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on building scalable middleware APIs and backend services • Contribute to technical strategy and roadmaps for both AWS and GCP environments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience) • Minimum of 10+ years of professional software development experience • Minimum of 5+ years building high-performance, scalable middleware APIs and backend services • Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot for backend services • Direct, hands-on experience with Golang (Go) • 3+ years building containerized applications using Docker on Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies (EKS, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, Aurora/RDS, OpenSearch, Step Functions) • Hands-on experience with GCP technologies (PubSub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Spanner) • Strong understanding of cloud architecture across AWS and GCP • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling for monitoring and logging • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Kubernetes • Experience designing, developing, and deploying services capable of handling thousands of RPS • Previous experience with multimedia/streaming platforms (e.g., Pluto TV) preferred • Experience with search engines or recommendation systems preferred • Strong technical communication skills and ability to collaborate in global, cross-functional teams • Advanced oral English • Candidates in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, or Argentina (LATAM) can fill the role
