📋 Description

• We're seeking an experienced Sr. Embedded Software Engineer for the Flight/Satellite Systems team • Assist in integrating subcontractor-developed ground software into the broader ground system infrastructure • Ensure requirements are met, conduct testing, and work on a softsat • High proficiency in programming languages C/C++ in embedded LINUX environment required • Requires experience with RTOS (VxWorks) and satellite/flight software development

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related discipline • Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education • High level of proficiency in programming languages C/C++ • RTOS (VxWorks) • Satellite / flight software development experience • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams • Knowledge of DO-178 • Proficiency in programming languages C/C++ in an embedded LINUX environment (preferred) • CORE flight software / CFS (preferred) • Agile development experience (preferred) • Experience with satellite system development, particularly in distributed command and control, data processing, or mission planning software (preferred) • Cross-disciplinary knowledge in software engineering, hardware engineering, integration, test engineering, quality engineering, and configuration/data management (preferred) • Familiarity with test and security milestones (TRR, FAT/SAT, IATT, ATO) (preferred) • Familiarity with development milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR) (preferred) • Experience with various aspects of satellite system software (mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, flight dynamics models) (preferred) • Guidance navigation control experience (preferred) • KALMAN Filters (preferred) • Development and deployment of simulation (software), emulation (hardware) for test and integration (preferred) • FDIR (Fault, Detection, Isolation, and Recovery) familiarity (preferred) • Familiarity with strict embedded systems hardware and software timing (preferred) • Familiarity with satellite command constructs and frameworks including, but not limited to, immediate commands, timed commands, and sequencing (preferred) • Telemetry and on-board data management (preferred) • Type I Encryption and key management experience (preferred) • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (preferred) • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities (preferred) • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (preferred) • A commitment to continuous learning and development in software engineering practices (preferred) • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required
