📋 Description

• Support GIS components of environmental, planning, research, and other technical projects • Collect, organize, edit, maintain, and manage spatial and attribute data • Prepare and manage GIS datasets, including data preparation, formatting, organization, and quality control • Perform routine GIS analysis and spatial data processing • Create, edit, and maintain maps, layers, feature classes, and other GIS outputs • Support field data collection activities and workflows using Esri applications and mobile tools • Develop, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Online content and applications under the direction of senior GIS staff • Create and support Survey123 forms and workflows • Conduct data quality assurance and quality control activities, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and errors • Prepare maps, figures, datasets, and other GIS products for internal and client-facing project use • Document GIS processes, data sources, workflows, and project-specific procedures • Support continuous improvement of GIS workflows, tools, and data management practices • Coordinate projects involving impact assessments, Indigenous consultation, traditional knowledge, and technical peer reviews of regulatory environmental permitting and approvals reports • Build and maintain client relationships while providing excellent client service • Liaise with Indigenous community clients, regulators, and proponents • Provide support with research, writing, and business development • Respond quickly and empathetically to client needs • Provide clear and concise reporting and presentations • Prepare reports, strategic communications, and memos supporting client community objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in GIS, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, or a related college program, combined with relevant practical GIS experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Demonstrated hands-on experience using Esri ArcGIS Pro • Experience creating and editing feature classes and geodatabases • Experience creating and maintaining maps and map layouts • Knowledge of data symbology, labelling, and basic cartographic design • Knowledge of basic geoprocessing and spatial analysis, including buffers, selections, and joins • Experience working with common GIS data formats and coordinate systems • Experience editing, quality controlling, and preparing spatial data for analysis and mapping • Experience creating and configuring applications in ArcGIS Online • Experience with ArcGIS Survey123, Survey123 Connect, and Survey123 Web Designer • Experience with ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Experience Builder • Experience creating, configuring, editing, and maintaining GIS tools, applications, forms, and workflows within ArcGIS Online • Working knowledge of GIS databases, spatial data management, and standard GIS workflows • Experience supporting GIS projects, programs, and/or field data collection activities • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel skills such as pivot tables, charts, sorting, filtering, and organizing and analyzing datasets • Ability to learn new GIS tools, workflows, and technical applications • Strong technical writing and analytical skills • Experience with data management and analysis, preparing technical reports, and communicating complex information in plain language • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality • Experience working in cross-cultural settings, preferably with First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit communities
