📋 Description

• Sleek: AI-enabled back-office platform making accounting, payroll, corporate secretarial and fintech easy for micro SMEs • Company operates corporate secretary, accounting & bookkeeping, and fintech payments segments; ~15,000 customers across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the UK; ~500 staff • Mission: Senior Payroll Manager leads the team driving payroll service delivery and ensuring timely, accurate, high-quality deliverables • Key outcomes: provide structured training and leadership; ensure team competency and client satisfaction; demonstrate expertise in Australian accounting regulations and company setups (private limited companies and trusts) • Ensure timely filing of corporate returns and taxes per SLAs; support and improve gross profitability for Sleek Australia • Maintain team efficiency via timely hiring, training, corrective actions, and compliance with workflows • Contribute to continuous improvement of the accounting bot by integrating updated resources and expertise • Participate in interview and background screening processes as required by the regulated nature of the business

🎯 Requirements

• Recognised degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related discipline • Professional certification preferred (e.g., CA or equivalent); specialisation in payroll law highly regarded • 5+ years experience in payroll operations, including managing a team and delivering payroll services for multiple clients • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation requirements, Fair Work compliance, Single Touch Payroll (STP), PAYG, and payroll tax obligations • Proficiency with payroll systems and productivity tools; experience leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency and accuracy • Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive; strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders • Must be based in India • Behavioural attributes: Ownership; Humility; Structured Thinking; Data driven; Can have tough conversations in a positive way; Problem Solving; User-centric; Analytical Mindset
