📋 Description

• Oversee and manage multiple high-voltage substation, transmission, and interconnection construction projects within the Central region • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards, safety regulations, and utility/NERC requirements • Monitor project progress and schedule risk across the regional portfolio, addressing issues and delays promptly • Participate in go/no-go reviews for regional pursuits • Supervise and lead Project Executives, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents • Foster a collaborative, high-performance field organization and consistent ways of working • Conduct regular team meetings and daily/weekly PODs • Support career pathing for regional staff • Maintain QEW certification and enforce QEW qualification for regional field supervision • Complete safety audits and ensure regional personnel meet minimum audit requirements • Approve energized work permits and stop-work calls; drive DART performance toward a zero-incident target • Own quality of near-miss and incident reporting, including root-cause analysis • Serve as a primary client and target-utility contact • Build client and utility relationships and address concerns • Collaborate with Business Development and Preconstruction to secure projects, support AVL qualification pursuits, and provide field input into bids • Develop and manage regional construction budgets and own the regional financial rollup • Monitor project costs, margin performance, change orders, and claims • Ensure projects meet SOLV and utility quality standards and HV hold points • Support independent quality and inspection functions • Enforce NCR tracking with root-cause analysis and feed recurring issues into standard work • Prepare regular reports on project status, financial performance, safety, and quality metrics • Maintain auditable project and qualification documentation • Identify regional risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with equivalent high-voltage field experience • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of high-voltage substation, transmission line, and utility interconnection construction experience • Prior experience at the Project Executive level or in a multi-project field leadership role • Proven construction project management and budget forecasting experience, with a track record of success in a leadership role • Working knowledge of the Western region's ISO and utility markets and the utility Approved Vendor List (AVL) qualification process • Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification, or ability to obtain it within the first 90 days of hire • Strong understanding of HV construction processes, NERC and utility interconnection requirements, and safety regulations • Ability to lead a geographically distributed team • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions under schedule and margin pressure • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities across a multi-project regional portfolio • Familiarity with project management, estimating, and productivity-tracking software and tools, including Sunscreen, Workday, Heavy Job, and Heavy Bid • Extensive regional travel is required • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
