📋 Description

• Translate customer needs, business goals, and product strategy into digital solutions for a health insurance portal and app • Work on design projects end to end, from research and user testing through stakeholder collaboration, concept development, prototyping, UI copy, developer support, and UI standards compliance • Design user-friendly, effective, and engaging interfaces for mobile, tablet, and desktop applications • Rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions • Create user-interface design artifacts describing the intended user experience • Identify user needs, elicit feedback, conduct UX research and task-flow analysis • Synthesize research findings into recommendations and actionable results • Share user data, insights, and best practices with the team • Test and refine design decisions using user feedback and analytics • Collaborate across business and application-development teams and validate conceptual designs • Advocate for users and understand how audiences interact with applications • Evangelize user-experience best practices • Provide support and documentation to maintain application usability integrity • Serve as a subject-matter expert and establish standards, best practices, and processes • Stay current on user-centered design practices, innovations, trends, and methodologies • Share knowledge with team members, elevate UX maturity, and participate in bringing AI tools into the workflow

🎯 Requirements

• 7 years' experience, including 2+ years designing transactional consumer-facing products in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated complex domain (strongly preferred) • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field required • Degree equivalency: 4 years job-related work experience, or Associate's degree and 2 years job-related work experience • 5 years of user interface design experience required • Strong technical knowledge of user experience and usability best practices and methodologies • Strong understanding of page layout and interface design concepts • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and optimizing design concepts around these technologies • Good understanding of graphic design and typography • Advanced analytical and research skills • Ability to interpret data and make appropriate recommendations • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business staff at all organizational levels • Strong conceptual problem-solving skills • Graphic design software proficiency • Microsoft Office proficiency • Ability to work with product owners and diverse stakeholders within legacy technical systems • Demonstrated skill delivering high-quality Figma mocks and prototypes, including responsive layouts, conditional states, documentation, and accessibility requirements • Capability for mentoring and reviewing other designers • Experience performing UX research and usability testing • Capacity to write user-focused UI copy without a dedicated content designer • Finalists must perform a short, on-camera design exercise during the interview process
