📋 Description

• Develop standardized facility, power, and equipment designs for telecom sites • Produce inside plant layouts, rack elevations, power distribution, grounding, and cable management designs • Design and size DC power, battery backup, standby generation, and environmental systems • Prepare construction packages, technical drawings, specifications, and as-built documentation • Develop bills of material, cost estimates, and procurement support documentation • Review installation progress, respond to field inquiries, and support commissioning activities • Collaborate with network, outside plant, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery • Support new site deployments, facility upgrades, procurement planning, and construction activities • Establish and maintain standardized facility and power designs for consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience • Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications facilities, inside plant, central office, data centre, or related electrical infrastructure design • Knowledge of -48V DC power systems, batteries, generators, and power distribution • Ability to create and interpret single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and construction drawings • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel • Strong estimating, documentation, and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams and contractors • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and access equipment at height and in restricted spaces • Willingness to work occasional after-hours or weekends for maintenance windows, cutovers, and outages
