📋 Description

• Guide and lead a team of software engineers. • Use AI tools such as Claude Code across design, development, testing, and release where they add value. • Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code. • Review and validate AI-generated code. • Influence technical design and architecture decisions and own delivery outcomes. • Author and maintain technical designs, architecture documentation, and team best practices. • Conduct code reviews and incorporate feedback. • Contribute to testing and automate testing with AI where valuable. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production. • Provide direction, technical guidance, and mentorship. • Foster collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. • Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations. • Raise engineering standards and drive process and tooling improvements. • Work within an Agile SCRUM team across the design, build, test, and release cycle. • Communicate trade-offs, provide updates, and raise risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Assist the Client Success team with support-related issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java backend web applications. • Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role. • Interest in expanding knowledge and applying knowledge to solve industry problems. • Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks. • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous processing. • Experience with relational databases and SQL. • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Expertise in software design patterns, object-oriented programming principles, and clean code practices. • Fluency in developing clean, maintainable, testable code. • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. • Excellent problem-solving skills focused on scalability, performance, and security. • Effective communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. • Final candidates must complete a background check and identity verification as part of SOC 2 compliance procedures.
