📋 Description

• Prepare financial statements, schedules, journal entries, and financial analyses in accordance with GAAP • Prepare or review monthly journal entries and interfaces • Evaluate accounting procedures and recommend improvements to efficiency and accuracy • Compile data for annual reporting, 990 tax returns, and external or regulatory auditor schedules • Analyze actual expenses and revenues against budgeted performance and recommend effective resource use • Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory filings, including DMHC and CMS filings • Produce and communicate accurate monthly financial results and maintain supporting documentation • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and clear reconciling items promptly • Assist with policies and procedures to improve monthly closing and reporting cycles • Resolve accounting and reporting issues and support new personnel • Participate in accounting procedure development and process improvement • Train and guide junior accounting staff • Perform assigned duties and participate in organization projects • Adhere to safety, P4P’s, HIPAA, and compliance policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field • 5 years related experience in a computerized accounting environment • Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communication • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems to maintain general ledgers and journals and prepare related financial statements and reports • Spreadsheet and word processing abilities, preferably in a Windows environment • Analytical skills for complex and detailed analyses of accounting issues and accounting systems • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to complete assignments within allotted time and maintain workflow • Ability to explain complex accounting and financial information to non-financial people courteously • Ability to tactfully discuss individual and personal financial information with physicians and their spouses • Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative manner • Must adhere to HIPAA and compliance policies
