📋 Description

• Design projects ranging from small- to large-scale and prepare construction cost estimates • Design electrical distribution networks, grounding systems, lighting and control systems, lightning protection systems, and fire alarm systems • Prepare technical plans and specifications for the procurement and installation of electrical equipment • Perform load, voltage-drop, short-circuit current, power-flow, and conduit or cable-tray fill calculations • Participate in electrical studies and prepare technical reports • Monitor construction activities, either from the office or on site • Serve as discipline lead for small- to large-scale projects • Manage a team of technicians, engineers-in-training (EITs), and drafters • Contribute to the quality assurance system and its continuous improvement • Contribute to the company’s business and market development • Participate in design team meetings • Establish and maintain technical relationships with clients • Coordinate multidisciplinary activities and collaborate with colleagues across the country • Plan electrical resources and ensure project schedules are met

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering • 5 years of experience in building electrical systems • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) • Experience in a BIM environment using Revit is considered an asset
