📋 Description

• Participate in pre-semester faculty orientation sessions • Identify recurring course challenges involving content, Moodle structure, and delivery • Bring course challenges to weekly/monthly debriefing meetings • Assist faculty with marking assignments and certificates • Provide feedback to students on assignments • Conduct one-on-one sessions to support students needing additional academic support, as recommended by faculty • Review and evaluate exams, assignments, and assessments with the lead instructor • Review course content in advance • Support or cover the lead instructor as needed • Negotiate tasks and daily/weekly outcomes with each faculty member on a week-to-week basis

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted full registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) • Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners, through completion of a Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent education, or previous teaching experience supported by satisfactory references, performance evaluations, and/or student course evaluations • Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience (1 year = 1,400 hours) • Strong knowledge of the Canadian health care system • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members • Knowledge of current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings • Nursing experience working with older adults with complex health needs • Experience or orientation (e.g., shadow shifts) in home support and multi-level/complex care • Previous experience teaching and/or studying in an online learning environment • Moodle experience preferred
