• Write high quality, highly scalable software with minimal bugs, primarily creating microservices in GO and supporting existing services in GO and PHP • Write database scripts for MySQL • Participate in the code review process and accept corrective feedback • Be a prolific documenter (API Docs, Wiki Documentation, etc.) • Work on architecture of new systems, design solutions, and collaborate on architecture feedback • Build and maintain predictable software patterns using industry best-practices and code gen tools/templates/frameworks • Mentor others, help team members grow, and participate in interviews • Be an effective Scrum team member: estimate issues, meet commitments, break tasks into smaller pieces, and collaborate to complete work on time • Be an innovative leader: propose and implement ideas, learn and share technologies, and address knowledge gaps • Participate in on-call rotation after approximately 6 months to help ensure service uptime • Work remotely with self-discipline and communicate effectively via tools like Slack and Google Meet
• 3–6 years of professional experience OR 2-5 years with advanced study in a related field • Experience and proficiency with server-side technologies (Unix/Linux, Golang, PHP, MySQL) • Knowledge of frontend web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, Javascript, TypeScript) • Experience protecting against security risks often described by OWASP • Embrace AI workflows and tools for faster development of code • Embracing the Agile and feature-driven development processes • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and bug fixes • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (desired) • Experience in frameworks such as Ember.js, React Native, Vue.js (plus) • Working understanding of OAuth2 (plus) • Knowledge of or experience with AWS or similar cloud service providers (plus) • Experience using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools (CI/CD) (plus) • Familiar with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts (plus) • Familiarity with pub/sub, queues, and other messaging concepts (plus) • Networking and Network Security proficiency (plus) • Knowledge of data security best practices related to PCI/DSS/CISP/HIPAA (plus) • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a basic background check
