📋 Description
• Develop features using algorithms that work optimally on very large data sets, running on backend systems handling enormous amounts of customer data. • Innovate to improve the performance and optimise costs of the query engine. • Follow test-driven development and write robust, reusable code demonstrated through automated tests. • Own microservices; analyse and improve efficiency, scalability, reliability, and cost. • Help the team respond quickly and effectively to business needs. • Act as a primary on-call for owned services, responding to service degradations in a timely manner.
🎯 Requirements
• B.Tech/M.Tech/BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related discipline. • 7-8 years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership. • Worked/contributed on large scale distributed systems. • Object-oriented experience (for example Java, Scala, Ruby, or C++). • Understanding the performance characteristics of commonly used data structures (maps, lists, trees, etc). • Desire to learn Scala. • Experience in multi-threaded programming. • Experience in running large scalable distributed services following a microservice architecture. • Happy working with Unix (Linux, OS X). • Agile software development experience (test-driven development, iterative and incremental development) is a plus.
