📋 Description

• Conduct multiple telephonic hearings each day • Take testimony and make evidentiary rulings • Develop a complete hearing record • Control the course of hearings while maintaining judicial temperament • Review case files in preparation • Ensure proper legal notice to parties • Draft and issue final decisions applying federal and Arizona law in a timely manner

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working as an administrative hearing officer • Doctoral degree; JD satisfies this requirement • Ability to write clearly about complex legal issues • Working knowledge of rules of evidence, administrative procedure, and judicial ethics • Excellent time management under tight deadlines • A writing sample is required with the application • Must be a new candidate; anyone previously submitted to an Arizona Administrative Law Judge posting through any agency will be automatically rejected • W2 only; no C2C • No sponsorship • Current city must appear on the resume
