📋 Description

• Conduct deep-dive investigations into customer accounts and synthesize complex evidence to drive high-integrity case decisions • Leverage data mining across transaction and behavioral datasets to identify fraud trends and emerging risk vectors • Monitor fraud dashboards and real-time alerts to mitigate financial losses and outpace sophisticated bad actors • Collaborate with Payments, Customer Support, and Product on fraud and chargeback initiatives • Drive special projects to scale fraud playbooks, internal tooling, and reporting frameworks • Work with Fraud Analysts, Operations leaders, and cross-functional partners across Payments, Product, and Customer Support • Contribute to special projects shaping how Super.com fights fraud at scale

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Criminology, or a related field of study • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups • Prior exposure to SQL or BI tools is highly advantageous • 1–2 years of relevant professional or internship experience is preferred • Proven aptitude for data analysis or investigative work through academic projects, co-op placements, or extracurricular initiatives • Sharp eye for detail and ability to synthesize patterns and identify anomalies within complex datasets • Critical thinker and proactive problem-solver who thrives when navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment • Rapid learner with a strong sense of ownership and desire to make a tangible impact within a high-growth startup • Prior experience or exposure to fraud mitigation, risk management, payments, e-commerce, or customer operations is a bonus • Candidates must be based in Canada • Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone • Availability to work a 40-hour work week • Ability to work core hours from 9/10 am to 5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on start/end times • Must reside in the country where their school is located for the complete duration of the internship • Internship must be part of an academic program or completed independently, as applicable
