📋 Description

• Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, iterative environment • Own features, services, caches, and databases, including deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing • Write production-ready, well-tested code from the first week • Work on the product analytics backend service and data pipelines • Ingest, clean, validate, and organize raw data for product and analysis use • Shape data to facilitate analysis, insight generation, and decision-making • Help shape data strategies between organizational systems for consistent and predictable consumption • Work with stakeholders to understand existing processes and design and implement improved, automated processes • Build, maintain, and enhance processes supporting end-to-end reliability from application development through the post-production enterprise data warehouse • Collaborate with full-time developers and participate in team meetings, Slack discussions, and social events

🎯 Requirements

• At least 8 months of backend development work experience • Experience taking ownership and shipping entire features end-to-end, including communicating with key stakeholders • Good understanding of relational databases and working with SQL • Interest in ETL/ELT tools and building data pipelines • Interest in working with Python on the backend • Interest in designing schemas, data modelling, and working with data warehouses • Ability to learn quickly across languages and technologies • Ability to work 40 hours per week • Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone • Availability during core working hours of 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility • Must be residing in Canada for the role • Current enrollment in a school, college, or university and submission of an unofficial grade report • Internship must be part of an academic program or completed independently • Candidates must reside in the country where their school is located for the complete duration of the internship
