• Promote and sell Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned Ottawa/Kingston territory • Plan and achieve sales goals through clinical education and adoption of insulin pump therapy • Identify potential customers and develop business relationships • Provide clinical and technical education to people with diabetes, physicians, and healthcare professionals • Educate customers and healthcare professionals on diabetes self-management, emergency management, community resources, products, services, trends, and outcomes • Schedule and deliver insulin pump trainings and diabetes education classes • Troubleshoot customer clinical and technical challenges • Maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals to support sales • Develop strategies addressing clinical concerns and retain existing relationships • Identify sales leads and assess prospecting criteria • Communicate Tandem’s market position, product value, and clinical differentiation • Collaborate with the Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Customer Technical Support Specialists, and regional sales team • Support territory forecasting and short- and long-term business planning • Provide product and service information at health fairs, conventions, promotions, trade shows, and symposia • Maintain CRM records, company property, equipment, records, selling aids, and samples • Establish and maintain a territory call cycle • Prepare weekly and monthly clinical sales reports • Attend sales training, meetings, team calls, conventions, and corporate events • Maintain expenses within corporate guidelines and submit timely expense reports • Complete the required training plan before assuming job responsibilities
• RN, RD or RPH or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience • Maintenance of registration and licensure through clinical education • Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred • Continuing education on patient education and the technical use of insulin pump therapy • 2+ years clinical diabetes experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education programs • 1-year related industry experience preferred in diabetes or endocrinology • Excellent communication skills regarding diabetes self-management, insulin pump therapy dose adjustment, blood glucose monitoring, carbohydrate counting, medication management, infusion site management, chronic complications, emergency management, and community resources • Ability to relate effectively with customers, referral sources, and health care professionals • Demonstrated ability to communicate as a clinical resource for a regional sales team • Demonstrated ability to coach customers one-on-one and resolve product-related issues • Skilled at presenting educational material clearly to various audiences • Skilled at contributing to team initiatives thoroughly and promptly • Ability to react to changing situations calmly and confidently • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing market • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet; CRM software familiarity preferred • Ability to travel in the assigned territory at least 80% of the time • Ability to work from a remote home office • Valid driver’s license, required auto insurance, and good driving record • Authorization to work for any employer in Canada; sponsorship unavailable
