📋 Description

• Work on Teleport Core Product as a product-focused systems engineer • Address performance, scalability, security, networking, and external-system integration problems • Work across the full product lifecycle, including customer discovery, writing RFDs, implementation, testing, and documentation • Become an expert on Teleport scalability, performance, and reliability in large deployments • Design, develop, and ship high-quality products • Write most code in Go • Build secure, passwordless infrastructure access using short-lived credentials at large-customer scale • Improve observability, tracing, and failure handling for access-layer debugging at scale • Grow technical expertise • Lead a distributed team of engineers • Collaborate on a hands-on coding challenge and review the solution with the hiring team

🎯 Requirements

• Willingness to collaborate on a coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process • Builder mentality and experience; love building zero-to-one products • Extensive Go experience • Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms • Strong team leadership and management experience • Linux systems engineering experience • Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to master new technologies • Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset • Significant contributions in Open Source are a plus • Must currently live in the United States • Must be able to travel to Oakland, California for onboarding week and occasionally for team events • Must be comfortable with background, employment, and educational credential verification • Must be willing to complete a coding challenge that can take up to two weeks
