📋 Description

• Maintain and develop excellent client relationships and oversee client service and account management • Lead client meetings as the main point of contact and trusted advisor • Understand client needs and develop proactive, creative solutions • Collaborate with other lines of business and introduce additional services where appropriate • Provide recommendations for strategic management of defined benefit pension plans • Advise on plan design, valuation, risk management, regulatory compliance, employee education, and plan administration • Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with clients’ long-term objectives • Contribute to the long-term sustainability of pension plans • Mentor, guide, and provide technical expertise to junior team members • Oversee project delivery, scope, quality, fees, budgets, and timelines • Promote and maintain industry visibility through presentations at conferences or workshops • Identify and develop new business and support existing-client growth • Support RFPs, finalist presentations, and marketing collateral to drive lead generation

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in defined benefit pension plan consulting • Knowledge of pension legislation and actuarial standards of practice, including pension plan valuation, financial projections, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements • Proven ability to develop relationships at the highest levels of client organizations and influence decision-makers • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support mentorship of junior team members • Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to meet performance targets within a practice area • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Thought leadership and subject matter expertise • Excellent communication, consulting and presentation skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on actuarial science, financial markets, industry developments, and pension-industry trends • Business and financial acumen, including marketplace strategies and tactics • Professional actuarial exams and certifications: fully qualified FCIA or close to qualifying (nice to have) • Bilingual English and French (nice to have)
