📋 Description

• Interpret physicians’ and prescribers’ prescriptions. • Contact prescribers and patients to verify prescription information and expedite order processing. • Collaborate with prescribers to tailor infusion regimens for patients. • Verify prescription information entered by data entry or order entry. • Verify refilled prescriptions for accuracy and safety. • Contact physicians for new and transfer prescriptions. • Consult with patients about medication use, potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, and mitigation strategies. • Guide patients on medication stability and safe use within professional guidelines. • Track order status and outstanding issues. • Handle customer calls regarding lost orders or dispensing errors. • Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels. • Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. • Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced pharmacists. • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

🎯 Requirements

• Current resident state pharmacist license in good standing • Advanced problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions • Strong customer service focus with varied patient interaction experience • Strong focus on quality and accuracy while maintaining process efficiency • Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized • Ability to adapt to a changing environment • Flexibility to accommodate business needs • Ability to navigate IT systems and independently troubleshoot basic IT issues • Ability to make independent decisions quickly to support patient care • Ability to take initiative when challenges arise • Interest in lifelong learning, receiving feedback, and applying it for continuous improvement • Must reside in AZ, FL, IN, OH, or PA • During the approximately 6-month training period, availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern Time • After training, availability Monday through Friday, 11:00 am–8:00 pm Eastern Time • Participation in a 1-week on-call rotation approximately twice per year and two Saturdays per year • For home work, cable broadband or fiber optic internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
