📋 Description

• Lead conceptual and detailed engineering design, execution, and implementation of high-complexity electrical and controls projects • Develop and assess state-of-the-art control systems for manufacturing facilities • Lead selection, design, installation, and commissioning of control systems and automated equipment for capital projects • Identify digital manufacturing opportunities and assess new technologies for performance improvements and business value • Mentor peers on food industry processes, construction practices, standards, and codes • Manage electrical/controls-focused capital projects as needed • Manage co-ops or interns, including interviewing and selection, as needed • Develop manufacturing alternatives, electrical/controls solutions, schematics, and P&IDs • Implement and support digital automation, MES, IIoT, data analytics, and IT/OT integration • Specify, select, and evaluate equipment and suppliers • Estimate costs for capital projects and process solutions • Develop construction scopes and bid packages • Coordinate and oversee equipment and system installation, checkout, and commissioning • Provide electrical/controls support, troubleshooting, and optimization during startup • Train manufacturing personnel on key electrical/controls system operating parameters • Transition deliverables and documentation to Plant Operations and Maintenance • Lead factory-floor digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure network infrastructure and machinery networks comply with industrial control network guidelines and cybersecurity policies • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources • Lead multifunctional teams and make critical decisions under pressure

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Food Processing, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical, or related industries • Electrical/Controls engineering, design, and project management experience, including process troubleshooting and optimization • Expert application and programming of PLCs/PACs; Rockwell and Siemens preferred • Knowledge of motion control systems; Rockwell and Siemens preferred • Expert application and configuration of HMI/SCADA systems; FactoryTalk SE/ME and Ignition preferred • Experience developing, specifying, and installing 480 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24 VDC power systems • Experience with basic Ethernet network architectures and device configuration • Advanced understanding of electrical/controls systems, sanitary design, construction practices, GMPs, food safety, and equipment suppliers • Advanced understanding of process automation and instrumentation • Proficiency in manufacturing processes, construction practices, standards, and codes relevant to food, pharmaceutical, or related industries • Exceptional problem-solving and optimization skills • Ability to execute projects in a timely manner • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or closely related Engineering field • Recognized leadership and decision-making ability • Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced written and oral communication skills • Comfortable with change • Proficiency with MS Office programs • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, averaging 35%-50% over time and potentially 60%-80% during certain project phases
