📋 Description

• Provide technical expertise and thought leadership in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering teams. • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for development, UAT, and production environments. Ability to leverage AI-assisted programming tools (e.g., Copilot). • Design, implement, and maintain observability and monitoring solutions; oversee system health and take actions required to maintain availability and performance according to SLAs, including participation in an on-call rotation. • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) systems; advise development teams to improve application resilience, operability, and best practices. AI-assisted programming will be used wherever possible. • Manage containerized workloads; deploy application servers hosting APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers/clients. • Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters with advanced configurations and features. • Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters with advanced configurations and features. • Identify failure points and recommend/implement solutions within the infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in distributed systems: load balancing, data storage, distributed messaging, distributed databases. • Proficiency with software configuration management (SCM) tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalents. • Expertise on cloud platforms, primarily AWS. • Deep knowledge of AWS PaaS tools: ECS, EKS, EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, WAF, Parameter Store, SNS, SQS, SES, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, etc. • Strong experience with automated deployment methodologies supporting CI/CD/CM via Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions (preferred). • Experience managing infrastructure via IaC, with use of AI assistants (e.g., Copilot) highly valued. • Experience with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket) and collaborative IaC tooling. • Experience configuring and administering Kubernetes clusters using advanced features: non-standard networking, storage classes/claims, namespaces, multiple node groups. • Experience configuring and administering Kafka clusters including implementation of disaster recovery mechanisms, prevention of data loss, and defining topic configurations suited for variable and heavy workloads. • Solid command of Windows and Linux systems. • Prior experience in application development, including SaaS and web applications. • Strong knowledge of IP networking: TCP, UDP, firewalls, SSL/TLS. • Understanding of software engineering and design principles: design patterns, architectures, the CAP theorem, event-driven architecture, etc. • Strong security mindset at all levels, adherence to the principle of least privilege. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to approach and describe problems in a structured way and propose reliable solutions.
