• Manage an advisory group and develop a safe, supportive community • Establish and maintain individual learning plans and help students set and review learning goals • Deliver team-taught, interdisciplinary, thematic, student-centered, and place-based learning experiences • Guide and mentor student-driven personal and mastery projects • Design learning activities aligned with TGS learning targets • Infuse global perspectives and culturally relevant, inclusive content into programming • Assess and monitor student learning outcomes using approved TGS software • Communicate assessment outcomes with parents and support student self-assessment and reflection • Follow safety protocols, emergency action plans, and on-duty responsibilities • Collaborate with TGS departments, in-country coordinators, community partners, and vendors • Participate in technology professional development and share technology best practices • Supervise students, support student health and welfare, and participate in the Inside Out program • Support continuous school improvement, planning, shared decision-making, inspections, and reviews • Design, lead, and supervise 5–10 day excursions for groups of 10–15 students • Maintain academic records, enter student journal entries, and maintain parent communication • Support onsite in-country coordinators with transportation, lodging, medical facilitation, and technology logistics • Participate in other duties as assigned
• Competence with distance and online teaching strategies • Competence with virtual tools that support online learning • Flexibility to adapt teaching and counseling practices to emerging technologies • Ability to develop and deliver educator-driven workshops focused on project-based learning, assessment, student-driven projects, and technology integration • Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail • Flexible, adaptable, and open to change • Strong motivation, initiative, follow-through, and commitment • Knowledge of TGS program and skill requirements • Ability to work independently and cooperatively and give and receive positive and constructive feedback • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Very strong written and oral communication skills • Familiarity with learning opportunities in assigned countries • Leadership and organizational skills for managing small and large groups • Competency with Google apps, especially Calendaring, Spreadsheets, and Forms • Ability to self-assess technology skills and motivation to learn new skills • Ability and desire to live and work in a communal setting that is both a professional workplace and a home for students and staff • Ability to frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds • Ability to carry 20–65 pounds over varying terrain • Ability to enter and exit a boat with little assistance and upright oneself if a boat tips • Ability to work off trail at elevations of 7,000–14,000 feet • Current WFR, TMFR, or CPR certification recommended
