📋 Description

• Design pages and components across the traveller side of the ToursByLocals marketplace, including search, tour and guide pages, and the booking experience • Continuously optimize existing experiences to improve booking conversion, inquiry conversion, average order value, attach rate, and other customer engagement metrics • Extend the design system with scalable primitives, components, and patterns • Own and maintain the Figma library, including variables, styles, and components • Keep designs aligned with what ships to production • Create detailed, responsive designs defining states, breakpoints, and behaviours for Engineering • Partner with Product Managers to develop A/B testing plans • Use data and experimentation to validate ideas and improve customer experience • Report to the VP of Product • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Deep understanding of UX best practices in a marketplace or e-commerce environment • Strong focus on intuitive, customer-centered experiences • Strong design system expertise • Hands-on experience with Figma Variables, styles, components, and design tokens • Experience with usability research and A/B testing • Experience using customer insights and data to validate hypotheses and deliver measurable product or business KPI improvements • Mobile-first mindset • Experience designing responsive, accessible experiences meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards • Consideration of performance throughout the design process • Ability to balance rapid iterations with larger redesign initiatives • Comfortable using AI-powered design tools • Ability and willingness to learn and grow through formal education or professional experience • Must be legally able to work in Canada • ToursByLocals cannot sponsor candidates at this time • Bonus: experience in travel, e-commerce, or three-sided marketplaces • Bonus: experience with a headless CMS where content length and quantity can vary based on editor input • Bonus: using data to identify opportunities, validate instincts, and frame productive discussions
