📋 Description

• Support life underwriting transformation initiatives focused on modernization, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence • Collaborate with underwriting project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and align with IT on project goals and deliverables • Prepare “as is” and “current state” documentation in written and graphical form • Create business process models using Business Process Modeling techniques and tools • Lead development of new or revised processes or procedures in lieu of system development • Facilitate elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and system requirements • Translate underwriting business needs into clear requirements for technical teams • Analyze business unit requests and determine possible solutions with technical staff • Communicate business and system impacts to IT and Operations staff • Prepare business and system requirements documentation in various formats • Work on teams developing or modifying highly complex information systems • Research and analyze business opportunities and develop formal recommendations to management • Use project and program management methodologies to support systems development deliverables • Provide test scenarios and criteria, prepare test-bed cases, and review test plans or matrices • Coordinate business readiness activities and assist with training, knowledge transfer, stakeholder communications, and training materials

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area discipline • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in business systems analysis • Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment • Working knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and operational workflows • Two or more years of underwriting experience within Transamerica or two or more years of experience supporting an enhanced underwriting project • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders • Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally • High degree of initiative and accountability
