📋 Description

• Provide onsite calibration of test equipment for customers within the specified location up to and including an 8-hour radius • Support the local Transcat laboratory when not traveling • Calibrate measurement and test equipment to manufacturers’ specifications • Determine out-of-tolerance conditions for customer M&TE and calibration standards • Provide corrective action, including adjustments and minor repairs, for out-of-tolerance conditions • Update and maintain proper documentation of services • Provide customers with information regarding Transcat services and new equipment • Maintain calibration standards • Provide feedback and updates regarding calibration practices and procedures • Submit and update required paperwork for travel and administrative purposes • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Calibration experience and/or equivalent training with commercial and/or biomedical measurement and test equipment (M&TE) • Self-motivator requiring little or no supervision • Customer service oriented • Ability to interact with customers & coworkers in a professional manner • Proficiency with MS Office and the internet; familiarity with basic database functionality • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history • Associate degree from college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related field experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Military PMEL training desired • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions • Ability to plan and prioritize diversified workload and work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) • Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver a 400-pound cart • Ability to occasionally lift upwards of 75 pounds • Ability to travel Monday through Friday with weekly overnight travel and occasional weekend travel • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment identity, employment eligibility, and, when applicable, motor vehicle driving record verification
