📋 Description

• Lead forward-looking analytics initiatives across time series forecasting, supply chain demand, buying, and inventory optimization • Develop and productionalize customized forecasting and optimization models • Improve demand accuracy, inform buying decisions, right-size inventory, and enhance supply chain replenishment • Research data sources, cleanse data, engineer features, and create baseline models • Independently formulate and develop forecasting, optimization, and machine learning models across multiple projects • Design, implement, and refine advanced ML and deep learning models for supply chain problems • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and present data science solutions iteratively • Own model development from inception through implementation, including ML pipelines, documentation, model drift, and remodeling strategy • Mentor Associate Data Scientists and Data Scientists • Coordinate with the ML team on deployment issues, resource requirements, model deployment, and retraining • Take or delegate ownership of critical stakeholder tickets and issues • Navigate codebases for troubleshooting, debugging, and code improvement • Contribute to coding standards and enforce sound coding practices • Create and maintain documentation for ML models, data sources, and methodologies • Assist with feasibility documents • Participate in R&D and recommend or implement process improvements and methodologies • Share knowledge through internal team presentations and workshops • Guide Scrum, Kanban, and other development methodologies in group projects

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science/mathematics/CS/statistics or similar field and 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in data science • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Expert-level understanding of classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, association rule learning, bagging, boosting, neural networks, deep learning, model evaluation and metrics, cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, optimization algorithms, and NLP • Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies with 1-2 years of experience • Intellectual curiosity to investigate the latest developments in the field, including LLM/Generative AI models • Ability to anticipate deployment limitations, data latency, algorithm appropriateness, and mathematical details/assumptions • At least 1+ years of working with a major cloud platform, creating ML models from data exploration to deployment • Working knowledge of handling large datasets in a cloud environment • Working knowledge of APIs and CI/CD • Understanding of DevOps and MLOps principles • 1+ years of writing production-grade code in Bash, Python, and SQL • Ability to navigate a data lake environment while creating training datasets or feature stores • Skills in creating, deploying, and troubleshooting containers for ML modeling • 1+ years of experience with version control systems/concepts such as Git • Ability to investigate/research ML frameworks, algorithms, datasets, and feature stores • Capability to provide macro-level thought leadership to junior Data Scientists • Preferred: 2 years of supply chain analytics experience • Preferred: 1+ year of Optimization & Operations Research experience with production-grade optimization modeling languages such as Gurobi, Pyomo, or PuLP
