📋 Description

• Support the North American Service Distribution Team • Design, specify, and commission material handling systems for customers throughout North America • Retrofit brownfield customer facilities with complex automated material handling systems • Ensure designs meet customer requirements and safety regulations • Coordinate designs with mechanical, controls, supply chain, installation, and other disciplines • Peer review and approve engineering designs and calculations • Optimize system functionality from as-sold designs to working electrical designs within budget • Design and review component sizing calculations, including conductor sizing, voltage drop, motor starters, protection, control panels, networks, harmonic studies, and load studies • Design and approve complex PLC-based process control systems and related components • Engineer project specials for non-standard applications • Specify, review, and approve electrical and process control equipment • Use AutoCAD Electrical, Word, Excel, and related tools to create wiring diagrams, termination lists, and bills of materials • Document engineering decisions through design plans, installation files, and engineering instructions • Conduct site surveys as needed • Support installation and commissioning onsite and from a home office • Maintain project document control using a rights-based database system • Guide and motivate engineering team members and collaborate with stakeholders across departments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, or Associate EE/ET with 12 years of related experience • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience, including 4 years within the material handling industry or another process industry • Associate EE/ET alternative requires 12 years of related experience, including 4 years within the material handling industry or another process industry • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 30% • Ability to design electrical and process control systems • Experience guiding engineering designs using engineering judgment, industry practice, codes, and standards • Experience in project management or leading teams • Experience using project planning and deliverables tracking tools • Advanced skills in AutoCAD Electrical or other drafting tools • Ability to use Autodesk Suite, including Navisworks • Expert knowledge of electrical engineering and process control theories and principles • Advanced knowledge/experience with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) • Experience designing low-voltage power distribution and process control systems • Ability to work autonomously or remotely and in a team • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills • Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, research solutions, and drive process improvements
