📋 Description

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.-based clients, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting • Apply startup accounting principles while balancing best practices with resource constraints and evolving priorities • Make financial judgments in dynamic, less structured environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance • Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable • Manage expense management processes and vendor/client interactions • Leverage accounting, collaboration, and productivity tools daily • Stay current on emerging technologies and AI applications that can enhance accounting efficiency • Take ownership of clients' accounting operations and support the client's portfolio • Manage client relationships and optimize accounting processes in a fully remote startup environment

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies • CPA certification preferred • Proven success managing external stakeholders, ideally from a public accounting or client-facing environment • Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices • Ability to adapt to changing priorities • Experience making informed financial judgments in fast-paced, less structured settings • Essential proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Drive • Highly desirable experience with Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, and Ramp • Experience integrating external applications with QuickBooks Online • Awareness of AI use cases in accounting is a plus • Full professional fluency in English, written and verbal • Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance professionals • Strong communication and collaboration skills across digital channels • Clear context in asynchronous updates • Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with excellent time management, organization, and independent problem-solving skills • High sense of ownership, openness to feedback, and adaptability to changing priorities in a remote startup environment • Integrity, curiosity, and a strong bias toward action • Candidate must be located in the North American Timezone
