📋 Description

• Provide virtual assessments, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions through the Vetster platform • Identify cases requiring emergency or specialty care and recommend escalation • Serve as an Assigned Continuing Veterinarian when the originating Marketplace Veterinarian is unavailable • Review medical records and support continuity-of-care needs • Handle prescription renewals and fulfillment inquiries • Answer follow-up questions related to established treatment plans • Collaborate with the RVT team on escalated cases and cases requiring further review • Provide clinical feedback to Product, Engineering, Operations, and other Vetster teams • Maintain knowledge of veterinary telemedicine laws, proposed legislative changes, VCPR requirements, and regulatory changes • Maintain a consistent virtual appointment caseload of approximately 12–16 appointments per day • Participate in media, PR, and industry events as mutually agreed • Contribute to educational content for pet owners and veterinarians as mutually agreed

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years companion animal clinical experience • DVM or VMD degree • Active veterinary licensure in good standing within Canada • Willingness and ability to obtain additional provincial licenses • Strong clinical judgment and ability to determine when virtual care is appropriate • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong medical record and documentation ability • Ability to collaborate with veterinarians, RVTs, and cross-functional teams • Previous experience in veterinary telemedicine or multi-province practice is considered an asset • Approximately 40 hours per week commitment • Consistent Monday through Friday weekday availability • Internet access and private workspace needed to perform the role • Willingness to travel quarterly within Canada and/or the continental United States
