• Develop and review concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft • Support technical content creation for B&P, R&D, and mission opportunities • Develop system-level technical vision for new products across hardware and software domains • Conduct trade studies supporting technical, business, and programmatic decisions • Perform and review system-level analysis and first-order sizing of space systems • Generate high-level MELs and PELs • Develop and manage mission concepts of operations, requirements compliance and derivation, launch vehicle requirements, fault management, interface control, V&V plans, and technical risk mitigation plans • Contribute to schedules, resourcing, and budget estimates • Communicate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges • Participate in customer and partner visits and technical interchange meetings • Translate customer requirements into product goals and system architectures for customers, proposals, and stakeholders • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align engineering solutions with mission needs, business needs, and the company technology roadmap
• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar related discipline plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience • Relevant advanced degree will be considered in lieu of equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience in one or more of: space system development, systems engineering, structure/thermal design and analysis, avionics, power systems, propulsion, orbital mechanics, electrical systems, mechanical and fluid systems, software and controls, and/or manufacturing • Experience developing technical content for proposals and external customer presentations • Experience authoring and decomposing mission and system-level requirements • Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments • U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) • Must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce
