• Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts according to established procedures, determining whether escalation to the Financial Intelligence Unit is warranted • Conduct in-depth reviews of transactional activity, internal KYC records, and open source research for triage and monitoring functions • Maintain accurate, documented records of triage decisions and alert dispositions • Partner with Engineering to develop and enhance transaction monitoring processes • Identify unusual financial activity indicating potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud • Conduct deep-dives into account and transaction activity to identify and expand Fraud and AML typologies • Support suspicious activity detection, transaction monitoring, and reporting programs and enhance related controls, policies, and procedures • Assist with adverse media and PEP watchlist screening • Monitor and provide thought leadership on impending regulatory changes • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance, Fraud Operations, Product Support, and Engineering
• BA/BS degree • 2–4 years of direct or relevant experience conducting AML, Sanctions, or Follow-the-Money analysis and/or investigations • Deep, practical understanding of money laundering typologies and related red flags • Experience conducting triage or initial assessments of potentially suspicious activity • Experience reviewing suspicious activity across cash management, automated investment advisory, brokerage, and home lending products • Familiarity with subpoenas and Section 314(a) and 314(b) USA PATRIOT Act requests • Experience developing, refining, and reviewing transaction monitoring parameters • Strong working knowledge of BSA/AML, FinCEN, FINRA, and SEC regulations • Experience leading cross-functional projects, including collaboration with Engineering • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills • Broad analytical skills and ability to identify, quantify, and solve problems • Willingness to obtain applicable registrations and/or licenses as necessary • CAMS or CFE certification preferred • Broker-dealer or registered investment adviser experience, including FINRA Series 7 and 24 registrations, preferred • Experience with financial products and banking-as-a-service or bank partnership AML programs preferred
