📋 Description

• Own the development and maintenance of finance and market risk data marts, optimizing performance, data quality, reliability, and efficiency • Design, build, and document robust data pipelines generating critical financial reports and metrics • Build, automate, and maintain brokerage reporting and monitoring systems • Partner with brokerage and market risk stakeholders to launch and support financial products and model development initiatives • Create dashboards and visualizations for brokerage KPIs, profitability metrics, and regulatory reporting • Provide business intelligence support for trade and collateral monitoring, financial reporting, product performance analysis, and forecasting • Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions • Participate in code reviews and contribute to data engineering and analytics best practices • Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics development • Expertise in data mart architecture, design, and management • Strong SQL proficiency, including complex queries, performance optimization, and large-scale datasets • Experience in brokerage operations or financial services, with knowledge of accounting principles and market risk concepts preferred • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and financial product structures is a plus • Hands-on experience building and orchestrating data pipelines with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services such as S3 and Redshift, Snowflake, or equivalent • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting • Experience with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions • Strong data visualization skills with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms • Understanding of analytics engineering principles and maintainable, well-documented data models • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to collaborate with finance, risk, and product teams • Legal eligibility to work in Canada • Permanent residence in Canada required for the role’s location
