📋 Description

• Guide and mentor a team of product designers • Partner strategically with Product and Engineering to identify, shape, and prioritize product strategy and roadmaps • Lead experience vision and advocacy for assigned product areas • Identify strategic UX opportunities across product areas and the broader platform • Coach designers to champion user needs, direct with vision, and shape priorities • Direct design reviews focused on craft quality and strategic direction • Develop designers' craft, judgment, and impact through coaching, mentoring, and performance management • Hire world-class designers and build conditions for team success and retention • Identify and organize strategic user research initiatives • Maintain domain expertise and working knowledge of the end-to-end Weave platform • Report to the Director of Product Design

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of formal design management experience OR 4+ years of equivalent team leadership as a Lead Individual Contributor in a complex product environment • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience at a product-led software company • Demonstrated track record of co-leading product strategy alongside Engineering, Product Management, and Data teams • Mastery in driving adaptable UX strategies and translating complex data workflows and user insights into flexible, scalable, and intuitive design systems • Clear, empathetic philosophy on guiding and inspiring distributed design teams across time zones • Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and emerging technologies such as AI/LLM tools • Experience with complex B2B SaaS products involving multi-step workflows or multiple interconnected product areas • Experience directly managing full-time Product Designers, including responsibility for performance and career development • Ability to provide an online portfolio or recent work case studies; applications without submitted examples of work will not be considered • Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide valid Form I-9 documentation • Successful completion of a background check
