📋 Description

• Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. • Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and work toward better design quality and efficiency. • Resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions. • Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. • Support projects from creation to completion by working with project managers. • Influence project teams on engineering tasks. • Stay updated on project progress and technical issues. • Manage project milestones and recognize risks. • Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment. • Work with diverse teams to improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. • Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing and propose solutions. • Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements. • Travel 25% of the time for project specific responsibilities.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and Construction. • Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design. • Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters. • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections). • Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
