WSGR is Wassersportgemeinschaft Rangau e. V. , a community-focused watersports and sailing club based at Brombachsee (Enderndorf) in Germany. The volunteer-run association organizes regattas, training (including youth sailing weeks and catamaran events), social events (summerfest, New Year’s party) and maintains an active membership program welcoming families and non-elitist participation. The club operates as a membership non-profit that promotes recreational and competitive sailing and community activities.

📋 Description

• Serve as primary lawyer for the firm's vendor and supplier contracts across all business functions • Draft, review, and negotiate technology license, SaaS, cloud services, professional services, statements of work, and procurement agreements • Lead contracting for technology and AI-related engagements, including generative AI platforms, AI-assisted legal tools, data processing, and third-party model access • Advise on data rights, acceptable use, confidentiality, output ownership, and liability allocation • Coordinate with privacy, data security, and technology transaction attorneys on specialized matters and escalations • Partner with Finance, IT, Information Security, and other stakeholders to identify legal risks and align contract terms with internal policies • Maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and clause guidance • Monitor AI governance, data privacy, and technology contracting developments and advise the General Counsel • Manage the firm's contract portfolio and enhance contract management processes

🎯 Requirements

• Required J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school • Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction • Minimum 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including technology agreements • Strong drafting, negotiation, and business-partnering skills • Familiarity with generative AI contracting concepts, including data rights, acceptable use, confidentiality, indemnification, and IP ownership • Ability to manage a high volume of matters with competing deadlines • Business-oriented ability to identify and communicate risk, propose practical solutions, and escalate appropriately • Prior experience in an in-house legal department, law firm technology transactions practice, or legal managed services organization preferred • Familiarity with enterprise procurement and vendor management processes preferred • Working knowledge of information security and data privacy frameworks, including ISO, NIST, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA, preferred • Experience with AI governance considerations, including the EU AI Act or emerging U.S. state AI legislation preferred • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems and ability to leverage AI tools preferred
