📋 Description

• Support WVU Medicine and the budget process through a wide range of financial functions • Perform departmental analysis and reconciliations • Perform billing and accounts receivable analysis • Maintain related contracts for department services • Perform productivity analysis • Coordinate and monitor financial controls over organizational cost centers according to approved budget guidelines • Coordinate accounting and financial processes and ensure internal controls are followed • Maintain the general ledger and submit accurate month-end financial data • Lead month-end variance analysis • Oversee and review month-end general ledger reconciliations • Oversee, develop, coordinate, and train assigned Accounting Department staff • Develop and submit analytical financial data for department leadership • Compile financial support documentation for budget and external audit purposes • Assist with budget and external audit reviews • Participate in hospital educational opportunities • Support performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives • Complete specialty financial duties accurately and timely, including financial statements, bonds, and cash flow projections

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field • Three (3) years of accounting experience • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work with computer databases and spreadsheet software • Strong understanding of Excel
