📋 Description

• Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring all factors are considered. • Analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare thorough cost summaries. • Update and maintain cost databases and other reference materials. • Perform precise quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings. • Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, and equipment needed for project completion. • Utilise specialised software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in take-off processes. • Compile detailed BoQs that clearly outline all project requirements. • Ensure BoQs are comprehensive and align with project specifications and drawings. • Regularly update BoQs to reflect any changes or adjustments in project scope. • Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors, ensuring they are competitive and align with project requirements. • Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor bids for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications. • Negotiate with subcontractors to achieve the best value and quality for the project.

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in civil estimating, ideally across roads, bridges, or other civil infrastructure projects. • Proven experience in preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with suppliers and subcontractors. • Sound understanding of civil construction principles and processes. • Australian industry experience is advantageous but not required.
