Accial Capital is an impact-focused, tech-enabled investor in asset-backed “fintech” lending portfolios in emerging markets.

📋 Description

• Maintain and refine a deep knowledge of market participants and borrowers across Accial’s markets through which we will identify the next great set of lenders to add to the portfolio. • Attend industry events and develop strategic partnerships with relevant actors in the space that can contribute to deal sourcing (i.e. venture capital firms, accelerators, industry associations, etc). • Lead borrower due diligence, including on-site due diligence, digging into drivers of success, risk, client protection and impact. • Closely work with our risk, legal, and technology teams to advance and close transactions. • Negotiate terms and structure. • Prepare and present investment memos to the Investment Committee. • Follow relevant market and macroeconomic developments closely. • Execute Accial’s impact framework in due diligence and monitoring of investments. • Help further develop impact-linked incentives to encourage companies to deepen their impact on gender, climate, and governance. • Assist risk team with ongoing portfolio management as needed. • Constantly refine and improve the Accial approach to private debt and impact. • Coach team members.

🎯 Requirements

• minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience in private credit or closely related field such as venture capital, private equity or investment banking. • Demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing credit transactions in emerging markets strongly preferred. • Successful candidates will be expert communicators with diverse stakeholders, including borrowers, colleagues, peers, investment committee members, and prospective investors. • Excellent knowledge of English is required, knowledge of other languages used in Asia would be useful. • Willingness and ability to travel for origination, due diligence and team gatherings up to ~20% of the time. • Ability to work independently, proactively, and in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree required. • Master's degree, preferably in business, economics or finance optional.
